I'M BLOGGING

For 3 weeks in Princess Nora University, I lived with 29 awesome girls from different countries and regions in KSA and Malaysia.  We were eating, praying, laughing and crying together. I've made a lot of friends there that i'll never forget.  Each one of them inspired me in a different way. I miss our hall meetings, activities, classes and everything about that place.  I'm so glad that I've been chosen for this program, I felt like i'm the luckiest girl on this planet.  Its always hard to say goodbye to really amazing people like them. But maybe its not really a goodbye after all. And I hope that one day we will be reunited again all the 30 of us including the RAs, TAs and the staff members.❤ #PNU_CTY 

A month ago, I started a new charity campaign for Down Syndrome kids. And this little fellow over here has inspired me to start the campaign.  I began calling out for people who wanted to join or help and I pretty much got plenty of them who were reliable and trustworthy.  We made an instagram account to spread the word and get more supporters, you can check us out : @_47Chromosomes.  We started designing bracelets and selling them and with the money we get, we hope that we will be able to go to a Down Syndrome Centre and donate for them. And hopefully we will make various fun activities for the kids there.  People look at them in a different way, they call them nasty names and they don't get treated well because they don't look like us or act like us. You guys wouldn't believe me if I told you that I love fictional characters more than I love real people. Each time I read a different book, I fall in love with one or two characters. I love the way the author describes their appearance and personality and I try to imagine how they look like in real life.  I feel that they are part of my life, we have been together in the ups and downs of the book. And what makes me love a fictional character even more is when I find them as same as me, we have a lot of things in common. Like if they were real people they'd definitely be my friends!.  I remember the first fictional character that I fell in love with, Patch, from the book series Hush-Hush. The way Becca Fitzpatrick described him in her books was incredible, he seems so perfect with his height, feature and fashion style. I love reading! I'm addicted to it. I can't go a day without reading few chapters from a book. When i'm reading a book I enter a world that is entirely my own. It takes me to another world by imagining the events and the stories I'm reading.  People describe me as an individualistic person because I isolate myself a lot. But, honestly, I just prefer to sit in a corner and read a book than talking or socializing with people. They funny part is that I never really feel that I'm alone because one of the greatest authors of all time C.S. Lewis once said "We read to know that we are not alone." I feel that i'm connected to the characters and the other readers when I read. We were together during the happy and sad times of the books. We feel so happy when the main character wins the battle and we cry when our favourite character dies. We are all in this together.  Call me a bookworm or call me a nerd, I really don't care. Two years ago, I was this huge football fan. I used to watch literally every game of my favourite club FC Barcelona and my favourite National Team "Spain" with my Dad.  And everything stopped when he passed away a year ago. And The fact that I can't watch football games anymore kills me inside. I really miss it.. But i cant watch it without my dad... We used to watch classicos , Europe cups , WC cups and other games together. I still remember that he used to love the way messi plays.. Hello.  Welcome to my blog. my name is Abrar and i'm addicted to reading and writing.
